Living La Vida Locavore
A "Potluck" dinner is one where you invite your friends to bring along something to share. You don't know if you will get 10 desserts and 2 main meals, or the other way around! No organisation allowed!
The Local Food group of BREAZE (Ballarat Renwable Energy And Zero Emissions) hold a Potluck on the 3rd Friday of each month.
This one was the first "Locavore" potluck. so we attempted to source all of the ingredients of our food from within 160km (100 miles) of Ballarat.
Two friendly geese have come to stay, just for 7 weeks while their family is on holiday in the USofA.
This is a method of removing the black tarnish from your silver items (if they are small enough to put in the pot!), that my father, the Industrial Chemist, taught me. He said that instead of rubbing your silver away by removing the black coating, this method will add the silver back onto the item!
